PURPOSE: A driver's knee protection device minimizes injury of a driver's knee due to a collision of an automobile. CONSTITUTION: A driver's knee protection device comprises a knee protector, a couple of active dampers(2a, 2b), a module(3) and an air pad(4). The knee protector is installed to cover a steering column(6). A couple of active dampers(2a, 2b) attenuate shock applied to the knee protector. The module(3) is connected to each active damper(2a, 2b). The air pad(4) is charged with gas by a pump actuated by a controller(5). The driver's knee protection device assembling properly a spring, a damper and an air bag minimizes injury of a driver's knee due to a collision of an automobile.
