PURPOSE: A start current control circuit of a compressor is provided to prevent a bad effect of other peripheral equipments due to initial excess current by limiting the current through control of voltage waveform supplied to a compressor. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(10) repeats voltage feed and isolation as well as outputs a start control signal for raising a voltage cycle gradually. When the control unit outputs a high signal, a light emitting unit of a phototriac(41) emits light and a light receiving unit receives the light. A triac(42) is turned and power is fed to a contact point(C) therethrough to raise an electric current(I). If the control unit outputs a low signal, the light emitting unit stops emitting light and the triac is turned off. The electric current is divided into two currents(I1,I2) during turning on of the triac but isolated during turning off. Thereby, the electric current flows intermittently. The control unit limits an electric current by controlling waveform of voltage fed to a compressor through repeated feed and isolation of voltage. Therefore, the control unit prevents a bad effect of other peripheral equipments due to initial excess current.
