The invention relates to a clamping device such as a hose clip or hose ring, comprising a clamping strip (1) with freely displaceable ends (3, 5). In order to connect the displaceable ends mechanically, said ends (3, 5) are provided with elements consisting of at least one hook (11) extending outwards on one end (3) of the clamping strip (1) which is configured to engage in at least one opening (21) in the opposite end (5) of the strip during the mechanical connection. In addition, at each end (3, 5) of the strip at least one stop (13, 27) is provided, which engages with a tool in order to stretch the clamping strip (1) around an object to be fixed. Said stops (13, 27) consist of sections of the clamping strip which extend outwards and are configured to be pushed towards one another whilst the clip is being stretched and to transfer the forces acting in the longitudinal direction of the strip. |
