PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality product by uniformly heating an object to be treated. SOLUTION: A first radiant tube 22 and a second radiant tube 23 apart at prescribed intervals in the furnace longitudinal direction are arranged inside a heat treatment chamber 13. The first radiant tube 22 and the second radiant tube 23 are respectively provided with a gas discharge part and a further having a heat exchanger with a heat accumulation body and a burner to the upper end of both straight parts 22a, 22b, 23a and 23b, a pair of burners arranged to the same tubes 22 and 23 are alternately kept on a burning state by a regenerative burner combustion system. In both radiant tubes 22 and 23, the total combustion quantity of the burners in outside straight parts 22a and 23a near a taking in mouth 14 or a taking out mouth 15 of the heat treatment chamber 13 is made larger than the total combustion quantity at the burners in the inside straight parts 22b and 23b near the furnace inside center.
