PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional heat energy converter, where the energy for its latent heat for phase change of water or for resisting the viscosity of the steam is required to be minimum, even though the one which converts heat energy into power by heating water and generating steam at a high temperature and high pressure and rotating a steam turbine with this steam is known, as is represented by a thermal power generation facility. SOLUTION: This heat energy converter is equipped with a heat receiver 2, which receives heat, a heat radiator 3 which radiates heat, a circulation pipe 1 which forms a closed loop, connecting the heat receiver 2 with the heat radiator 3, and is charged with a heat medium, and a converter 5 which is provided at the circulation pipe 1 so as to convert the convection of the heat medium being generated when using the heat medium in a supercritical region into power, and it becomes possible to convert heat energy at low temperature into power.
