PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a magnetic card by a magnetic card reader and to shorten the projecting length of the card from a wall surface. SOLUTION: A sliding guide plate 13 is arranged obliquely on the back of a slide groove 3 formed in the magnetic card reader 1, a recessed part 16 is formed on the periphery of the upper front of the groove 3, and the bottom 16a of the recessed part 16 is arranged almost in parallel with the plate 13. The upper end of the plate 13 is arranged on the depth side from the surface of a wall 10, and the lower end is arranged in the front side from the wall 10 surface. A magnetic card 2 is inserted from the upper part of the groove 3, abutted on the plate 13 and slid downward along the surface of the plate 13, so that a reading head 14 reads out information from the card 2. |
