PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for precisely detecting a parameter on the travel of a mobile object, especially the curvature radius of a route where the mobile object travels. SOLUTION: An encoder 11a is installed in a wheel 2a arranged on the left side of a carrier 1. An encoder 11b is installed in the wheel 2b arranged on a right side. The encoders 11a and 11b generate the number of pulses proportional to the rotary angles of the wheels 2a and 2b. The speed of the carrier 1 is calculated based on the average value of the number of pulses. The curvature radius of the route where the carrier 1 travels is calculated based on the difference of the number of pulses.
