PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the insulation degradation of a compressor motor in an air conditioner and to give an alarm to the outside before an insulation degradation causes an operation impossibility. SOLUTION: This insulation degradation detection device comprises a three- phase AC power source 1, a diode bridge 2, a filter circuit 5, a power converter 6, a compressor 7, the motor 8, an inverter control part 9 sending a pulse for PWM control, a DC part voltage sensor 10, an insulation resistance degradation decision part 12, a motor current sensor 11 and an alarm part 13. By sending a pulse from an arbitrary phase of the upper arm of the power converter 6 when the compressor 7 stops, getting a insulation resistance from a voltage in a DC voltage part and a current flowing by the pulse, comparing the insulation resistance with an insulation resistance set value to detect the insulation degradation, and giving an alarm to the outside, measures can be executed before the operation continuance as the air conditioner becomes impossible. |
