PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a multiple clutch device so as to have the same capability as much as possible mutually with respect to torque transmission capability. SOLUTION: This device relates to a multiple clutch device to be arranged between a power unit and a transmission by a power train 10 of a motive power unit. A clutch means is constituted as multiplate clutch means 64, 72, and one of them has larger effective friction radius than that of the other. A measure is taken to bring torque transmission capability of the multiplate clutch means 72 having smaller effective friction radius and torque transmission capability of the multiplate clutch means 64 having larger effective friction radius close to each other at least with respect to equal reference input amount or reference operation pressure in a case of both clutch means 64, 72 determining the strength of friction engagement of plates 74, 76. |
