<p>A compactor machine (10) is described of the kind controlled by a pedestrian operator and including a base plate (12), an operative unit (14), mounted on the base plate, the operative unit having a support plate (18) and a main frame (28) and means to cause the base plate (12) to vibrate when in use (20, 22, 24). The machine (10) also comprises a handle (34) by which the operator controls the machine in use. The compactor machine further comprises a secondary frame (30) mounted on the main frame (28) by means of a plurality of first damping mounts (32) and the handle (34) is mounted on the secondary frame (30).</p> |
