SOLUTION: In a method for producing a hydrolyzable silyl-group-containing compound by the hydrosilylation of (A) a silicon hydride compound with (B) a compound having an alkenyl group, a mixture of (C) a salt or complex containing a group 8 metal with (D) a silicon hydride compound is used as a catalyst.
