PURPOSE: To effectively utilize the differential pressure between high discharge pressure and intermediate pressure by introducing the discharge pressure of a variable displacement compressor to a first intermediate pressure area and also to a second intermediate pressure area. CONSTITUTION: This control valve for the variable displacement compressor comprises a solenoid excitation part arranged in the center, a control valve body part arranged on one side of the solenoid excitation part, and a pressure sensitive part arranged on the other side of the solenoid excitation part. The control valve body part is provided with a discharge coolant port communicating with the discharge pressure area of the variable displacement compressor, a first intermediate coolant port communicating with the first intermediate pressure area, and an inlet coolant port communicating with an inlet pressure area, and it further comprises a second intermediate coolant port communicating with the second intermediate pressure area of the variable displacement compressor.
