PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite nickel fine powder having an excellent heat- contraction characteristic and a high tap density, increased in density when a conductive paste is formed and dried, by which a high-density electrode is formed after being fired and appropriately used as a conductive paste material, especially as the internal electrode material of a multilayer ceramic capacitor. SOLUTION: At least one kind selected from the group consisting of the oxides and multiple oxides contg. at least one kind of group 2-14 metallic element of the periodic table having 12-82 atomic number is stuck to the surface of a metallic nickel fine particle, and further a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid is deposited on the surface to constitute the composite nickel fine powder.
