PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image by calculating the center of internal organs on a display image screen of an optional cross section including the object internal organs in an ultrasonograph. SOLUTION: In the ultrasonograph having a probe 1 for transmitting/receiving an ultrasonic wave in a subject, an ultrasonic wave transmitting/receiving part 2 for supplying a transmission signal to the probe 1 and amplifying a received reflected echo signal, a digital scan converter 3 for converting an image signal into a display coordinate system by writing in and reading out the image signal from the ultrasonic wave transmitting/receiving part 2, means 4, 5, 6 for processing the line segment information for displaying an image by inputting an optional line segment to a display coordinate surface and means 7, 8 for synthesizing and displaying the processed line segment information and image information from the digital scan converter 3, the ultrasonograph has a means for judging a boundary between internal organs along the optional line segment inputted to a tomographic image on the display coordinate surface and displaying an image by calculating the center of the internal organs on the basis of the judged boundary. |
