<p>Transfer printing of synthetic materials uses an intermediate carrier printed witn an aq. dye dispersion contg. a polymeric thickener with carboxyl gps. Used for printing of flat materials of polyester, cellulose acetate, polyamide of polyacrylonitrile fibres. Sharp contours and no abrasion of the print on the carrier are obtained. Sublimation of the dye is increased, giving improved colour yield and depth, and allowing a reduction in transfer time. Dyes with relatively low sublimation can be used, which give improved fastness on the fabric to ironing or pleating.</p> |
