METHOD FOR ALARMING SELECTIVELY RECEPTION OF SIMPLE MESSAGES IN MOBILE TELEPHONE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for alarming selectively reception of simple messages in mobile telephone terminal is provided to decrease the consumption of the power by alarming only the reception of simple messages that a user desires. CONSTITUTION: A control unit determines whether a simple message is received(311). If the simple message is received, then the class code of the simple message is detected(313). The control unit determines whether the class code coincides with a registered code previously in memory(315). If the class codes are coincided each other, the control unit generates the alarm to indicate the reception of the simple message through an alarm unit(317). Then, the control unit switches the LED of the alarm unit on and off to alarm the reception of the simple message(319).
