LAMP SOCKET AND DISCHARGE LAMP OPERATING DEVICE

A case for housing a starting circuit section, a socket section, and a connector section are integrally molded with synthetic resin to form a socket main body of a lamp socket. After lead frames are arranged in the case and the lead frames are connected to a primary and a secondary winding of a pulse transformer, electronic components are so housed in the case as to place terminals in grooves of the lead frames, then the leads are connected to the terminals. Thus, the starting circuit section is constituted. By this constitution, the lamp socket and a discharge lamp operating device can be miniaturized.
