PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start filling after the temp. of a liquid passage is raised by allowing a heated liquid to flow through the liquid passage when a line performing hot pack filling is temporarily stopped and to automatically perform the changeover from temp. raising work to the start of production. SOLUTION: The liquid heated by a heating sterilization apparatus is sent to a filler 24 by a liquid feed means having a pressure tank 22 and the container 28 supplied by a supply conveyor 38 is filled with the heated liquid from a filling nozzle. The supply of the container can be stopped by the stopper 48 advancing and retreating on the supply conveyor. The temp. of the liquid discharged from the filling nozzle is measured by a temp. sensor 58 and the comparing part 62 of a control means 50 compares the measured temp. with the set temp. stored in a memory part 60 and, after the temp. of the liquid reaches the set temp., the stopper is released to start the supply of the container. A trough 52 capable of advancing to and retreating from the area under the filling nozzle is provided and, when the temp. of the liquid reaches the set temp., the command part 64 of a control device changes over a temp. rising mode for discharging a liquid to the trough to a production mode for filling the container.
