<p>The present invention relates to a carrier assembly (12) for supporting the mold center section (56) of a stack mold. The carrier assembly has a pair of mold supports (30) to which the mold center section (56) can be attached. Each mold support (30) is movable along a linear rail (26) attached to the base of a molding machine and has at least one block (40) containing a linear bearing mounted thereto for engaging the linear rail. Each mold support (30) further includes a linkage assembly (44) for connecting the mold support (30) to other platens (20, 22) so as to synchronize movement of each mold support (30) with movement of at least one other platen (20, 22).</p> |
