PURPOSE: To provide an auto tensioner which can tell the timing of replacing a belt. CONSTITUTION: The belt end part of the metal ring(16a) of an oil seal(16) which blocks the upper opening of a cylinder(11) is exposed. To a bush rod(20), a guide flange(24) slidable along the inner bore surface of the cylinder(11) is installed. And the exchanging timing of the belt is informed by detecting the limit position of the advance stroke of the bush rod(20), by the contact of the guide flange(24) and the metal ring(16a). |
