A compact fluorescent lamp (1) comprises a plastic housing (27). The plastic housing (27) includes a plastic cap (19) and a plastic shell (3). A discharge tube (9) extends from the plastic housing (27) through openings (23) formed in the plastic cap (19). The compact fluorescent lamp (1) further comprises a tubulation (17) which contains amalgam material and communicates with the discharge tube (9). A heat conducting means is integrally formed with the plastic housing (27) which is suitable for receiving a heat conductive material (15) forming a thermal bridge towards the tubulation (17).
