PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the data buffer of small capacity surely execute the conversion of synchronous data to asynchronous data or conversion of asynchronous data to synchronous data. SOLUTION: This device has a CPU bus 221 for transferring data, a scanner engine 201 for outputting image data synchronously with the clock of a fixed frequency, a CPU 202 for processing the image data independently of the clock of the fixed frequency and a buffer module 220 for converting the synchronous data to the asynchronous data in the exchange of image data through the CPU bus 221 between the scanner engine 201 and the CPU 202 and the capacity of the buffer module 220 is made into capacity capable of storing image data longer than time for the other device to occupy the CPU bus 221 for one time of data access at least.
