PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture a wood tray free from cracks by applying an adhesive on the front face and the rear face of a core board, then temporarily stick fancy veneers, opposed to each other, on the front face and the rear face of the core board after drying and heating and compacting the tentative laminated board using a molding die, when the fancy veneers are laminated on the front face and the rear face of the core board and molded into a traylike form. SOLUTION: A core board loading machine 23 conveys a stack of long-size core boards loaded on a conveyor and a gluing machine 27 applies an adhesive to the front face and the rear face of the core board during conveyance and at the same time, a drying furnace 33 dries the adhesive. Next, the fancy veneers are temporarily attached, spaced from each other, using a hot stamper 43, against the front face and the rear face of the core board to form a temporary long-size laminated board and an area between the adjacent fancy veneers of the temporary long-size laminated board is cut using a sectional conveyor 61 into a plurality of temporary laminated boards. After that, the obtained temporary laminated boards are heated and compacted by using a molding die of a tray molding press 63 into a wood tray material and the outer shape of the wood tray is trimmed using a shaping machine 79 into a finished product.
