PURPOSE: Provided are a sintered body for roller bearing and a process for producing the same, which are excellent in density, hardness and abrasion resistance. Also, the cost of production is reduced because manufacturing process is shorten. CONSTITUTION: The sintered body contains 2.8-3.2wt% of C, 6.2-6.6 of Cr, 0.1-0.12wt% of Mn, 2.0-2.4wt% of Mo, 3.0-6.0wt% of Nb, up to 0.02wt% of P and 0.02-0.026wt%, and the rest of the sintered body is composed of iron and impurities. The sintered body is obtained by the steps of: i) molding powder containing 2.8-3.2wt% of C, 6.2-6.6 of Cr, 0.1-0.12wt% of Mn, 2.0-2.4wt% of Mo, 3.0-6.0wt% of Nb, up to 0.02wt% of P and 0.02-0.026wt%, and the rest of the powder composed of iron and impurities; ii) sintering for 1.5-2hrs at 1,150-1,210deg.C and quenching it; iii) tempering for 1.5-2.5hrs for 500-600deg.C, followed by heating for from 40min to 1hr at -80-100deg.C; and then iv) tempering it 1-1.5hrs at 450-500deg.C.
