A user is allowed to select a style sheet to be applied to an XML document being broadcasting program information on a screen. The user is also allowed to determine whether or not the broadcasting program information is displayed or to determine whether or not a menu button includes link information if the broadcasting program information is displayed. Since a style sheet written in the XSL or CSS language is data of text type and user-readable, the style sheet can be edited and updated through a console. Data of mark-up language type can be provided in an expression form adapted to the user's liking, and the efficiency and flexibility of data distribution are ensured.
