AUTOMATIC BOOK POLISHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely polish a fore edge, a top edge and a tail edge of a book with gathering smaller than a front board, and to improve the efficiency of the polishing work and the working environment. SOLUTION: A holding device 30 to hold a gathering with a front board of a book opened is provided in a housing 16. A first polishing device 31 having a pair of polishing panels 53A, 53B to respectively polish a top edge 6 and a tail edge 7 of the book is provided. A second polishing device 32 having a polishing bar 85 to polish a fore edge 5 of the book is provided. In addition, a supporting device 33 having a support plate 97 which is selectively opposite to a lower part of the book 1 to support the fore edge 5 is provided between the holding device 30 and the second polishing device 32.
