PURPOSE: A radio frequency plasma display panel element is provided to reduce the thickness of a dielectric layer between a discharge space and an address electrode so as to lower a lighting voltage. CONSTITUTION: An address electrode(40), a first lower dielectric layer, a scanning electrode(42), a dielectric pattern(44) and a partition wall(46) are arranged on a lower substrate in order. The address electrode(40) intersects with the scanning electrode(42) and provides a data voltage for an address discharge. The scanning electrode(42) provides a scanning voltage for the address discharge and is used as an opposing electrode against a radio frequency electrode. The first lower dielectric layer insulates the address electrode(40) and the scanning electrode(42). The distance from the address electrode(40) to a discharge space is shortened due to discharge holes formed in the dielectric pattern(44). Therefore, the address discharge is easily generated only in the discharge holes. The voltage absorbed by the dielectric layer is reduced so that a lighting voltage is reduced. |
