PURPOSE: Provided is a method for issuing a report of an electronic cash register to select a report which a user want to print and to issue and print it. CONSTITUTION: A mode switch is checked whether to be converted into a checking mode to confirm dealing details up to now(S50). A kind of reports which a user intends to issue is inputted(S52). The inputted report is checked whether to be available(S54). A whole item number(N) for necessary items is read and a present item(i) is initialized into '0'(S56). The present item(i) is determined whether to be larger than or the same as the whole item number(N)(S58). In case the present item(i) is smaller than the whole item number(N), a flag for printing the present item(i) is considered whether to be set(S60). The present item(i) is printed(S62), thereafter, increases by one(S64). Printing is completed when the present item(i) is larger than or the same as the whole item number(N).
