The crankcase is divided into an upper (19) and lower (20) part in a plane which stands normal to the vertical axis (17) of the engine and which contains the crankshaft axis (18). These two parts (19,20) form the crankshaft bearing blocks with the sealing surface on the bottom of the top part or vice versa (19,20). A tube (24) containing the frontwheel drive (15) output shaft (27) is sealed to the crankcase or oil sump (22). The tube specified (24) is either pressed into the sump or again cast into the crankcase lower part (20) or the oil sump.
