PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyolefin composition which prevents a conductor from being corroded and has excellent heat resistance by adding an evaporable rust preventive to a polyethylene mixed with additives so as to undergo a silane crosslinking reaction after being extruded. SOLUTION: The evaporable rust preventive is benzotriazole. A masterbatch produced by previously incorporating benzotriazole in a polyethylene is added to a polyethylene (silane-crosslinkable polyethylene) mixed with additives so as to undergo a silane crosslinking reaction after being extruded. The silane crosslinkable polyethylene is produced by mixing a polyethylene with a silane coupling agent, a crosslinking agent, and a crosslinking catalyst. The masterbatch is usually prepared by incorporating 3-10 pts.wt. benzotriazole in 100 pts.wt. polyethylene. Usually, 12-40 pts.wt. masterbatch is added to 100 pts.wt. silane crosslinkable polyethylene.
