PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dilute solution composition of 3-isothiazolone stable in such a manner that it can keep stability and does not form precipitants during storage. SOLUTION: This stable microbicidal agent comprises (a) 0.1-5 wt.% of a water-soluble 3-isothiazolone based on the weight of the composition, (b) 0.0001-0.3 wt.% of one or more organic oxidants based on the weight of the composition, (c) 0.0001-0.02 wt.% of a copper ion (II) of shape of a copper salt based on the weight of the composition and (d) water, and the composition does not form brown precipitants at 40 deg.C for at least 12 weeks. |
