PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly precise positioning of works involved in a rotational dislocation of an abutting member and a gage body. SOLUTION: This work positioning device for a shearing device includes a slider 5 movable on a work table 1 along a slide groove 3 formed in the work table 1 for positioning, a disk-like gage body 11 rotatably provided on a supporting shaft 31 for the slider 5 via a bearing 33 and provided with a scale for setting the positioning angle of works to be set on the work table 1, an abutting member 7 mounted on the gage body 11 and a first clamp 45 and a wedged second clamp 49 for locking the rotation of the gage body 11 while clamping the annular portion 47 of the gage body 11 at its inner and outer periphery sides.
