<p>A method for determining the speed of a mobile user, comprising deriving first signals related to the phase variations of a number of taps of an equivalent channel input response at the input of a channel equalizer in a base station receiver which receives the signal, deriving second signals related to the carrier frequency offset of the signal received in the base station receiver; substracting the second signals from the first signals; and deriving from the difference a quantity related to the Doppler frequency shift of the received signals, and therefore to the speed of the mobile.</p> |
