PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operating efficiency by shortening the interruption time of mounting operation. SOLUTION: In a method of feeding electronic components by a tray feeder wherein pallets 3 are successively taken out from a magazine 4A to feed them to a pickup position by a transfer head 12, a plurality of pallets are housed in a magazine 4 for an item of electronic components which is used much. When a component is out of stock, the pellet is discharged to a supplying section 6 provided differently from the magazine 4 and other components are fed to the pallet 3, and another pallet for housing the same kind of component is pulled out from a preliminary magazine 4B to be fed, then the pallet fed with the new components is housed in the preliminary magazine 4B. As a result, the interruption time of mounting operation can be reduced when supplying components. |
