PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating and refrigerating chamber equipped with a temperature detecting means, which is capable of being miniaturized and easy in assembling, dismantling and repairing. SOLUTION: A heat transfer body or a heat transfer block 28 is provided at the inside of a thermo-electric converting element 26 while a heat exchanging member or a heat sink 27 is provided at the outside of the thermo-electric converting element 26. The heat exchanging member 27 is provided with a ventilating fan 25 and the heat transfer block 28 is provided with a temperature detecting element or a thermister 41 while a control means or a control circuit 23, controlling the operation of the fan 25 based on an input from the thermister 41, is provided. A means for detecting temperature is miniaturized and the miniaturization of a heat insulating vessel 1 is permitted while the thermister 41 is integrated with a cooling and heating unit 24 whereby the improvement of assembling workability can be contrived.
