PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex writing utensil with a rubber eraser delivering device, with which the retracting and extending operation of a rubber eraser is easy and the assembling of which is made easy. SOLUTION: In a duplex writing utensil, respective writing utensils are made selectively retractable and extendable by rotating a cylindrical cam 5 and when the mechanical pencil is selected, by axially shifting the cylindrical cam 5, the delivery of a lead is made possible, slits 32 consisting of an narrow vertical groove, which is bored axially and longitudinally to the rear end of a barrel tube 4a and somewhat broader lateral grooves, which are nearly normal to the vertical groove and bored at a plurality of positions at proper intervals on the side face of the barrel tube 4a integrally provided so as to extend to the rearward of the cylindrical cam 5, are provided. In a rubber eraser holder 37, a slider 35 is provided parallel to a tubular part 38 towards the rearward of the tubular part 38 integrally with a rib 39a about a supporting shaft on the side surface of the rear 3 end of the tubular part 38 and, at the same time, a locking projection 40 is formed on the tubular part 38 at the proper rearward of the rib 39a. At the rear end of the barrel tube 4a, a top cap 36 is fixed. |
