HEADREST SUPPORT DEVICE FOR HOSPITAL CHAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To softly operate a headrest, to perfectly lock it when it is fixed, to fix it at a position by means of one operation with a required angle and also to smoothly move it in a direction to be attached/detached in a seat back and in a vertical direction. SOLUTION: A shaft attached on the back surface of the headrest 1 is fitted to one of connection holes in the both end parts of a prismatic angle adjusting member 4. The member 4 is provided with a slit 7 for connecting the connection holes of the both end parts and executes pressurizing to make the slit 7 narrower by a pressurizing device such as a hydraulic cylinder 8. A cylindrical part 13 having the slit 12 of a chevron shape first successive rod 11 is fitted to the other connection hole of the member 4. The connection shaft 15 of the chevron shape second successive rod 14 is fitted to the inside of the cylinder part 13. The other end part of the second successive rod 14 is pivotally attached and connected to the perpendicular part of a support rod 17 by which a base part 17a is fixed to a seat back and also the other end part of the third successive rod 16 is pivotally attached and connected to a tip part 17b with a spacer 18.
