PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing method and device which can record high quality sound by a sound collecting means. SOLUTION: An output signal of a microphone 1 is amplified by a microphone amplifier 2, a loudspeaker 3 is driven by a speaker driver 4, an output signal of the loudspeaker 3 is amplified by an amplifier 6, either of a first connection mode in which the loudspeaker 3 and the speaker driver 4 are connected and a second connection mode in which the loudspeaker 3 and the amplifier 6 are connected is selected by a switch 5, an output signal of an equalizer 7 connected to the amplifier 6 and an output signal of the microphone amplifier 2 are synthesized by a synthesizing means 8, an output signal of the synthesizing means 8 is recorded and reproduced by a recording and reproducing means 9, and a reproduced signal of the recording and reproducing means 9 is connected to the speaker driver 4 by the switch 5.
