PURPOSE: A band transfer controller for an edge bander is provided to efficiently attach a band(101) to the edge of a work panel(141). CONSTITUTION: A band transfer controller for an edge bander includes the followings. The band transfer controller for an edge bander transfers a band(101) toward the edge of a work panel(141) while controlling to keep transferring the band(101) even after the band(101) starts to attach to the edge of the work panel(141) before stopping transfer. A sensor(161) located at the place where a work panel(141) approaches to a band guide(113) senses the location where the work panel(141) will be placed. The signals detected by the sensor(161) is transferred to a control section(21). The control section(21) calculates the time when the work panel(141) passes through the band guide(113) by recognizing the location where the work panel(141) will be placed detected by the sensor(161), and transfers the band(101) so that the band(101) can be attached to the edge of the work panel(141) by controlling a band transfer roller(111, 112).
