PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid oral antitussive agent or an expectorant capable of rapidly and sustainedly masking the bitterness of a medicine having the bitterness and antitussive and expectorant actions and significantly improved in a feeling of administration by including the medicine and a specific compound having cold sense actions. SOLUTION: This liquid formulation is obtained by including (A) a medicine having bitterness and antitussive and expectorant actions, e.g. dihydrocodeine phosphate and (B) at least one kind selected from (i) a compound represented by formula I (X is methylene or the like; R1 is a lower alkyl; n is 0 or 1), (ii) a compound represented by formula II (R2 is a lower alkylene; R3 and R4 are each a lower alkyl or both together denote an alkylene constituting a 5- to a 6-membered ring which may have a lower alkyl) and (iii) a compound represented by formula III (R5 is a lower alkyl; R6 and R7 are each a lower alkyl or both together denote an alkylene constituting a 5- to a 6-membered ring which may have a lower alkyl), e.g. 5-methyl-2-(1-methylethyl)-cyclohexyl-2- hydroxypropionate.
