PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of setup operation by performing the setup of a digital exposure part by using data concerning the coloring density of photosensitive material obtained by the setup of a projection exposing part. SOLUTION: The dispersion of the coloring density of a print by the projection exposing part is calculated (#5). The main cause of the dispersion due to a light source for exposure is eliminated out of the main causes of the dispersion. The dispersionΔD' of the coloring density obtained by eliminating the main cause of the dispersion due to the light source is obtained (#7). TheΔD' is added to the adjustment reference value of each part in a digital exposure part (#8). Next, a test print similar to that in the projection exposing part is formed in the digital exposure part (#9). The density of the test print is measured (#10) so as to judge whether it is OK (#11). When the coloring density of the print is not proper, the applied voltage to the light source, light emitting time (the number of light emitting times) and the moving speed of a head for exposure are adjusted (#12), and such operation is repeated until the proper print is obtained by a controller.
