POLYVINYLALCOHOL BASED FIBER CAPABLE OF HIGHLY DRAWING AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyvinylalcohol based raw thread capable of stably drawing in high speed at a high drawing rate. SOLUTION: The fiber is a raw thread based on polyvinyl alcohol including 0.2-15 wt.% of a surfactant having melting point of 20-100 deg.C, manifesting elongation >=200% in an atmosphere of 100 deg.C and the raw thread is obtained by including 0.2-15 wt.% of the surfactant having melting point of 20-100 deg.C between the spinning solution to before drying and applying shrinking treatment >=5% between the removal of the solvent and the end of the drying in the process dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in the solvent and spinning, drying after removing the solvent.
