摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conjugate fiber which is a nonchlorine-based conjugate fiber having a large yarn diameter and a high specific gravity and a high strength at the same time. SOLUTION: This conjugate fiber has a core-sheath structure and the core component comprises a nonchlorine-based thermoplastic resin containing >=25 and <=30 vol.% of microparticles having >=4 specific gravity. The sheath component comprises a nonchlorine-based thermoplastic resin. The ratio of the core component accounts for >=20 and <=28 vol.% of the conjugate fiber and the fiber has >=90μm yarn diameter, >=4.5 g/d strength and >=1.46 and <=1.59 specific gravity. The characteristic of a method for producing the conjugate fiber comprises charging a raw material for the core component and a raw material for the sheath component into separate melt extruders, melt spinning the raw materials at 260-290 deg.C and carrying out drawing at 60-99 deg.C drawing temperature and 4.1-4.8 times draw ratio.
