PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pot that is structurally simple and prevents spillovers. SOLUTION: This rice boiling pot comprises a pot body 2 and a lid 3 for closing an opening in the upper face of the pot body 2. The lid is formed as a cap type with an appropriate height and has a fitting edge at its lower peripheral edge to be pressed and fitted over the edge of the opening in the pot body 2. A semispherical recess 32 is formed in the center of the upper face and through hole 33 is bored through the bottom of the recess 32. A spherical weight 4 of appropriate load can be freely placed in the recess 32.
