PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate reliable and easy assembly of a piezoelectric transformer in a case and soldering of lead terminals to a piezoelectric element by forming, in one face of the case, a hole which faces the piezoelectric element and communicates with the outside of the case. SOLUTION: In a bottom plate of a storing section 4, a support insertion hole 13 is formed. When soldering lead terminals 6, 7, 8 in assembly of a piezoelectric transformer 1, a support is inserted into the hole 13 to support a piezoelectric element 3 at a specified place in cooporation with a projecting section 11 for supporting. The hole 13 is so formed that the support may be abutted against an end of a drive voltage input section in a wider face of the piezoelectric transformer 1. On a rear face of the bottom plate of the storing section 4, positioning projecting sections 14, 14 to be inserted into positioning holes preliminarily formed in a circuit board for mounting the piezoelectric transformer are formed upright. Due to this structure, the piezoelectric transformer 1 can be correctly positioned when soldering on the circuit board.
