PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use an objective lens having different magnification and to prevent a situation that the objective lens collides with a sample placing stage or a situation that the sample does not get into a focusing range to some extent by providing a sliding placing plate with plural sample bearing parts having a sample placing plate at a different position in a main optical axis direction with respect to a sliding part to be guided. SOLUTION: A placing part 6 is housed in a placing part housing 80 nearly formed in the shape obtained by removing the upper half of egg-like shape. The part of the placing part 6 where the sample is put is interchangeable and a drawer type sample holder 222 is arranged to be freely inserted in/pulled out of a notch 220. The holder 222 is provided with cylindrical through-holes 240 and 242, and a plane ground glass 250 forming a sample placing surface is attached to the upper end of the hole 240 and a plane ground glass 252 forming a sample placing surface is attached to the lower end of the hole 242 in watertight state. By inserting the holder 222 in the notch 220 in an up-and- down direction, the position thereof becomes different in the main optical axis direction.
