PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container made of paper, which can package an object to be packaged in a sealed state, which can be manufactured with a simply constructed assembling machine, and whose manufacturing cost can be reduced, in a container made of paper having lid receiving pieces supported from below on support pieces provided at both ends of an adjacent lid receiving piece. SOLUTION: This packaging container A is formed with a main body 1 having a lid receiving pieces 7, 8, 9 provided at upper edges of a front side wall 3 and a left and a right side walls 4, 5 in an outwardly protruding state, respectively, and a lid 20 provided at and unitarily with an upper edge of a rear side wall 6 to be joined to the lid receiving pieces 7, 8, 9. Both the main body 1 and the lid 20 are made of cardboard having a thermoplastic film laminated on inner faces thereof. The left and the right lid receiving pieces 8, 9 are supported from below on support pieces 11, 11 provided at both ends of the lid receiving piece 7 of the front side wall. Further, a protruding stripe 12 for eliminating a difference in height is provided on the lid receiving piece 7 of the front side wall.
