REMOTE MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM USING MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY

PURPOSE: A remote malfunction diagnosis system using multimedia technology is provided to determine whether a system is malfunctioning or not using remote system. CONSTITUTION: A remote malfunction diagnosis system using multimedia technology uses multimedia technology as well as high speed communication network(3). The remote diagnosis system determines whether an apparatus is malfunctioning. The malfunction diagnosis terminal on the apparatus(13) is connected to the terminal of an expert. The terminal is capable of real time image capturing, sound capturing, image processing, converting electrical signal of the apparatus into digital signal, graphic display, as well as analyzing result. A test signal is applied on the apparatus so as to determine whether the apparatus is malfunctioning or not based on the returned signal from the apparatus. The result signal from the apparatus further is received at a remote system.
