PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily control recording information being recorded into a storage medium. SOLUTION: Recording information is set to the set of one or a plurality of first recording units VOBs (#1)-(#i), a plurality of second recording units consisting of the arbitrary combination out of the first recording units VOB (#1)-VOB(#i) are set to titles (#1)-(#k), identification information FLG with different meaning such as erasure, storage, and editing enable is selectively assigned, the identification FLG being assigned to the first recording unit is batch controlled by a first table (VOBT), and the identification information FLG being assigned to the second recording unit is batch controlled by a second table (UST), thus treating each of the first and second recording units in a control state being indicated by each identification information FLG. Furthermore, the current identification information FLG being assigned to each of the first and second recording units can be changed to another identification information FLG with a different meaning. |
