PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small motor capable of suppressing vibration by solving such a problem that a rotor with odd poles is apt to vibrate while keeping one of the characteristics of the rotor with odd poles, that is, achievement of large torque. SOLUTION: This motor is provided on a shaft 7 with an odd number of salient-pole magnetic poles consisting of a laminated core 8, a winding 9 wound around the salient-pole magnetic pole in a multipolar manner, and a rotor involving a commutator 10. Each salient-pole magnetic pole has an arm and symmetric blades on both front end sides of the arm. When the thickness of the laminated core 8 is taken as (u), the diameter of the core as D, and radial thickness at the base of the blade as (t), the thickness is determined so as to be in such a range that the ratio of the radial thickness (t) at the base of the blade to the core diameter D is set to 5.5% which is an upper limit, and the thickness (u) is set to a lower limit. It is thus possible to suppress vibration while keeping large torque.
